Global tourism revenues are set to reach a record $2.2 trillion in 2025, according to a press release from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
According to the organization, “in 2025, the number of international tourists grew by 4%, reflecting strong global travel demand“. It is noted that in 2025 “an estimated 1.52 billion international tourist arrivals were registered worldwide, an increase of almost 60 million compared to 2024“
According to the organization, most destinations reported positive results in 2025. “Tourism receipts will reach a record 2.2 trillion USD in 2025“, added the UNWTO. They expect international tourism to grow by 3-4% in 2026 compared to 2025.
