Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has received the necessary regulatory approvals to operate flights between the UK and the US. As previously announced, the airline does not plan to operate regular commercial flights to the US. The new permission is a significant achievement and the result of extensive preparation, coordination with regulatory authorities and operational planning. With the approvals received, Wizz Air will now be able to offer customized charter flights for European football teams and fans traveling to the World Cup, as well as for tour operators organizing group trips to the US.
