Kenya's national carrier Kenya Airways has reached 99% capacity on its flights to Europe, America and Asia due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The latter has led to many tourists seeking to leave the region via various routes.
The airline noted that the carrier has never experienced such a load factor at this time of year. The closure of airports and airspace in several countries in the Middle East has disrupted traditional air transport, forcing travelers to seek alternative routes, including through Kenya and Ethiopia. Kenya Airways told the ag. Bloomberg reported that the carrier expects to retain at least 40% of its new customers.
At the same time, the airline has fuel reserves for the next 50 days and is therefore actively looking for new sources of supply for its planes.
