„ESCO Bulgaria“ started the construction of a third photovoltaic installation for its partner “Aurubis Bulgaria”. The project, named “Aurubis-3”, will have an installed capacity of 6.5 MWp and will be located at the production site of the oil extraction plant on the territory of the municipality of Zlatitsa. The facility will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2024.
The photovoltaic plant “Aurubis-2“, which has an installed capacity of 7 MWp, is also under construction and will also be put into operation by the end of the year. „ESCO Bulgaria” and “Aurubis Bulgaria” develop long-term partnership relations in the construction of RES plants to cover the energy needs of the largest mining company in South-Eastern Europe. In 2021, the energy company built the first solar park for its partner - “Aurubis-1“, with an installed capacity of 10 MWp. The three plants will cover nearly 10% of the plant's electricity consumption on an annual basis.
