Most basic foodstuffs, vegetables and fruits have risen in price on the stock exchanges in the country in the last week on June, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT), BTA reported.

The market price index (MPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, rose by 0.24 percent to 2,053 points during the week. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2,048 points. The base level of ITC - 1,000 points, is from 2005

Among vegetables, the biggest increase was for salad - by 22.4 percent to BGN 0.82 per piece wholesale, for imported cucumbers, which increased in price by 13.6 percent to BGN 2.50 per kilogram, and for greenhouse cucumbers - by 12.6 percent to BGN 2.60 per kilogram.

Potatoes also go up - by 8 percent, and are traded at BGN 1.22 per kilogram, as well as cabbage - by 4 percent to BGN 0.78 per kilogram.

There is a decrease in greenhouse tomatoes, whose price drops by 9.2 percent to BGN 2.36 per kilogram. Carrots are cheaper - by 2.3 percent to BGN 1.28 per kilogram, ripe onions (import) - by 3.8 percent to BGN 1.26 per kilogram, ripe garlic - by 1 percent to BGN 5.20 per kilo.

Of the fruits, the price of cherries increased the most - by 12.3 percent, and they are available at BGN 3.65 per kilogram, and imported apples - by 9.1 percent to BGN 1.92 per kilogram. The price of strawberries is also rising - by 8 percent to BGN 4.60 per kilogram. Bananas, which are traded at BGN 2.75 per kilogram, and lemons, which are sold at BGN 2.74 per kilogram, are cheaper by 0.4 percent each.

The price of cow's cheese decreased by 0.9 percent to BGN 11.03 per kilogram, and the "Vitosha" type cheese - by 0.1 percent to BGN 17.40 per kilogram. Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) has increased in price by 3.5 percent and is bought at BGN 1.18 for a bucket of 400 grams, and fresh milk (3 percent fat content) - by 2.6 percent to 2 .35 BGN per liter.

Chicken meat is minimally cheaper - by 0.1 percent, and is available at BGN 6.73 per kilogram. Eggs (size M) rose by 3.7 percent to BGN 0.28 per piece wholesale.

The price of rice rises by 1.2 percent to BGN 3.25 per kilogram, while the price of lentils remains unchanged at BGN 4.28 per kilogram.

There is also an increase in the price of ripe beans - by 0.7 percent to BGN 4.18 per kilogram, sugar - by 1.5 percent to BGN 1.97 per kilogram, and oil - by 2.9 hundred to BGN 2.82 per liter. The price of type 500 flour fell by 8.6 percent to BGN 1.27 per kilogram, while that of cow's butter (125 gram package) was 4.7 percent higher and it was bought at BGN 2.70 for number.
