This was commented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev to journalists in Pernik on the occasion of the vote of no confidence in the "Zhelyazkov" government. Minister Georgiev was in the city for the opening of the school year at the "St. Ivan Rilski" Primary School (OS) and the "Hristo Smirnenski" Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School (PMG).
On September 12, deputies from "Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" and “Moral, Unity, Honor“ submitted a request for a vote of no confidence in the government in the registry of the National Assembly. The request for a vote of no confidence is due to a failure in internal order and security, justice and the conquered state. The vote was submitted with the signatures of PP-DB, MECH and representatives of the “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms“ (APS), said Bozhidar Bozanov, deputy chairman of the PP-DB parliamentary group. The contribution to the part concerning internal security and public order is from MECH, and the remaining part of the 80-page reasons is from PP-DB, he specified. According to him, the government is not doing well in the sectors “Internal Security” and “Justice” and the problem of the conquered state is deepening, which leads to a lack of justice and impoverishment of Bulgarian citizens.
We are dealing with the challenges and problems that these same co-sponsors of the vote left us in the last four years and are trying to put the puzzle together, Georgiev told the media, BTA reported.
He defined the vote of no confidence as a groundless opposition for the purposes of political intrigue. According to him, his co-sponsors have been irreconcilable enemies until recently, and after the vote is rejected, they will return to their aggregate state.
