President Rumen Radev commented on the fifth no-confidence vote against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet, quoted by BNT.
"When we talk about votes, we must realize that the parties substituted the vote of their voters and created this ruling coalition. It serves, as you all see, a political force that is increasingly taking control, and demonstratively, not only of the mandate holder, but also of the entire government. It is striking how complacent the ruling party believes that the no-confidence votes will not pass for one main reason - the fragmentation of the opposition. This complacency, this self-confidence can be deceptive. The stability of a government depends not only on parliamentary support, it also depends on the situation outside parliament. Bulgarians are getting poorer, they increasingly feel the lack of justice, and resentment is growing."
Asked about which party he was talking about, the head of state replied: "For the "New Beginning".
The president emphasized that he refuses to appoint Denyo Denev as chairman of SANS.
"I have answered in writing with a no. The procedure is completed."
"When a signal is received in the presidential institution, I am obliged to react,", said Radev on the occasion of notifying the competent authorities in connection with signals of violations and abuses at VMZ - Sopot.
