Just three months before we enter the family of those to whom Bulgaria has dreamed of joining for decades (ed. note: United Europe) - this sounds very humiliating for ordinary Bulgarians. As such, I watched the debate. I was humiliated and heartbroken. At such a decisive moment (ed. note: our entry into the eurozone) we cannot be at the level of our people. He said this in the program “Offensive” on NOVA News former GERB MP Spas Garnevski, commenting on the fifth vote of no confidence against the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet.
According to him, only 3-4 months ago people were hesitant about adopting the euro. And after a successful campaign, in which experts explained what it is to be part of “this prosperous and united Europe - people accept with a sense of satisfaction that we are entering these ranks”.
“And suddenly this baseness in the Bulgarian parliament and around it. We cannot be at the height of this people. Those who should set the tone from all directions - what distinguished the Russian groups and PP-DB yesterday? Neither with the pleas, nor with the muraffets - brought by the one who appointed and installed them in power as leading charlatans? And they proved it very quickly that they are like that in politics and in government. Will these people govern Bulgaria and be the face of the state in this Europe, towards the civilized world we are heading towards?”, asked Garnevski.
When asked “Is the state conquered”, he emphasized that “the state is obliged to mind its own business and that is why it has the relevant institutions”. “And another person who should take care of unity, to solve important daily issues – does not even appoint the figure who can help in solving processes related to crime, investigation and protection of this state. Without SANS and the leading leaders of these services – how can a state be protected when a hybrid war has been waged against us for the fifth year in the conditions of a coup – headed and announced by President Rumen Radev? And you, who announced the coup – you won't appoint those who should protect the security of this country?”.
