The body of a man found near the cemetery in the village of Dalgodeltsi, Yakimovo municipality, has been identified, and the case has been classified as a premeditated murder. The deceased is a 43-year-old R.D.P. from Dalgodeltsi.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, the supervising prosecutor in the case, Oleg Dimitrov from the Montana District Prosecutor's Office, told BTA. Employees from the Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lom and forensic experts from the National Police Directorate are working to solve the murder. The investigation is being conducted under the leadership of the Montana District Prosecutor's Office.
A forensic medical examination and numerous other examinations, including DNA analysis, have been ordered. So far, no arrests or suspects have been made, Dimitrov said. The body was found with signs of violence and a severe head injury.
Blood marks were noticed on the graves, and the body itself was found undressed near the cemetery park. The murdered man is known to the police and used drugs.
According to initial data, R.D.P. lived in Dalgodeltsi with his parents, was not married and did not do business. It is probably a matter of some kind of fight related to drugs, but this is still only a hypothesis and will have to be clarified during the investigation, said Prosecutor Dimitrov.
