Today, during the movement of fast train No. 2616 in the direction Varna - Sofia, in the Strazhitsa - Dzhulyunitsa interstation, about 20 meters from the Keserovo stop, a dry tree fell on the train.
This was announced by BDZ.
As a result of the incident, damage was caused to the locomotive, a pantograph was damaged, and five windows on the first carriage and six windows on the second carriage on the right side in the direction of travel were broken.
There were 80 passengers on the train, including a slightly injured female passenger who was examined by an Emergency Medical Team who waited for the train at Gorna Oryahovitsa station. After the medical examination, the injured person continued her journey.
A timely organization was made and the passengers from the affected carriages were re-accommodated in serviceable carriages at Gorna Oryahovitsa station, after which the train continued on its route with a delay of 23 minutes.
