Another protest against the water shortage in Pleven, bTV summarized.
The demonstration began with a procession that set off from the Dramatic and Puppet Theater “Ivan Radoev“ in the city. The participants walked through the central part of the city to invite other Pleven residents to join them and express their dissatisfaction with the water regime, which began at the end of July.
The procession stopped in front of the Municipality building on “Vazrazhdane“ Square, where the protesters raised posters “We live in the 21st century, but we don't have water… Shame on you“, “Corruption is destroying Pleven“, “We don't want promises, turn on the water“ and others.
The protest continues with statements by the participants.
We recall that last Wednesday, September 24, the first meeting of the newly formed National Water Board was held, at which it became clear that 3.7 billion leva are needed for the most urgent activities to resolve the water crisis in the country.
The new unit was established by a decision of the parliament, and Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov assigned Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov to lead it.
