The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation will discuss the cabinet's proposal to raise the minimum wage from the beginning of next year to 1,213 leva or 620 euros and 20 eurocents. The increase is 136 leva.
In previous discussions between the social partners, the unions stated that they would support the proposal, while the employers were against it.
The change affects nearly 460,000 people.
According to the unions, the minimum wage should even be increased further and reach the subsistence level.
For employers, the calculation method is wrong and is ahead of business development.
