A huge stone broke off from Tsarevets Fortress in Veliko Tarnovo and fell on a taxi.
The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. in the area near the “Mini Bulgaria“ museum. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to the Department of Emergency Situations – Veliko Tarnovo.
The site was secured until specialized equipment arrived to remove the rock.
Rock fragments also fell in other places in the city.
A similar incident occurred on “San Stefano“ street in the Cholakovtsi district, but no people or cars were injured. This afternoon, at the request of the Regional Road Administration, the Veliko Tarnovo - Arbanasi road was closed due to the danger of rockfall from Trapezitsa Hill, BTV adds.
