„If there is a mafia in waste management in Sofia, then Terziev has been paying it for two years. It cannot be that now, after you have been paying for so long, the mafia is suddenly your fault“. This was stated by GERB leader Boyko Borisov on the sidelines of the parliament on the occasion of the deepening crisis with garbage collection in the capital.
Borisov was categorical that the responsibility for the current situation falls on the current municipal authorities, which, according to him, “are playing the victim after being part of the scheme“.
„When they closed the landfill in “Suhodol” – it was a crisis. We bought baling machines, drove bales all over Bulgaria, looked for where to deposit them. It was a struggle. And now the heroes of the mafia, the children of the State Security, come and hand out accusations about who was a mafia and who was a scumbag. I will not allow this“, added Borisov.
The GERB leader called on everyone who talks about a “mafia“ in waste to answer the question, if there really is one, why have they been paying it for two years?
Borisov also commented on another case – the potential sale of “Lukoil“. He expressed the opinion that in the event of a sale, the services and the Council of Ministers should check the future buyer not as pressure, but as insurance. “Nobody is forcing them to sell. But if they decide, the services should check who is buying. Because we have already passed through the time of Assen Vassilev, when the PP-DB scumbags ruled the mafia“, he also stated.
Borisov denied having any contacts with criminal figures, whatever accusations he received. “I have neither seen nor heard of Taki or whatever they call him. Yesterday I even called on the mayor and Georgi Georgiev to send volunteer prisoners and trucks to clean Sofia. I have not gone to blackmail ministers for public procurement, like Bozhidar Bozhanov“, Borisov also said and added: “Because I am silent, now they are climbing on my back. This will not happen“.
