The District Court in Haskovo postponed and scheduled the case for the removal of Myumyun Iskender as mayor of Mineralni Bani for October 14 at 3:00 p.m.
This is the third attempt to hear the case - because Iskender was hospitalized.
The prosecutor Angel Kanev is demanding his removal due to new charges for acts from 2 months ago, related to the disposal of properties for almost 1 million leva.
The mayor is accused of participating in an organized criminal group with the aim of absorbing EU funds. He was under house arrest, from which he was released after the 8-month investigation period expired.
Today, the court annexed the medical documentation on Iskender's health condition and scheduled the case for October 14.
