The data on the elections in Pazardzhik have already been announced by the Central Election Commission - the shifts are large, many times higher result in the city than in 2023 - "DPS Novo nacholu" are first, PP-DP are second, and GERB remains sixth.
According to the Election Commission, there are no signals of vote market. The results in the city are analyzed in the program "This Morning" Tsvetanka Andreeva, political scientist, Miroslav Sevlievski, former Minister of Energy; Yovo Nikolov, journalist.
"How can I trust the police when the police chief is called Danny the dog? They found one with a Porsche "Panamera" with 10,000 fifty-dollar bills. I counted them - 5,500 votes were cast for DPS-New Beginning at 50 leva each, that's 250,000 leva, the same as a studio apartment in "Lyulin" - this deal is not very expensive in my opinion," claims journalist Yovo Nikolov. According to him, there is no way to prove whether there was an auction of votes.
On the topic of how the new DPS achieved such success, former Minister of Energy Miroslav Sevlievski said that the old DPS cannot be compared with the new one. Peevski's votes are now part of the votes of Todor Popov, mayor of Pazardzhik for almost 20 years. No great miracle happened here, the former minister believes.
According to him, the hero of the day was the woman who set out to beat the seller or buyer of votes. According to Sevlievski, Delyan Peevski made a "not a bad list", from which people got their votes.
"First place is not bought, it is earned. No matter how flawed the elections are - it is speculative to claim that it is related to the MRF. In fact, there are accusations raised, but they are not related to the MRF. What Peevski did was open his party and open the lists. There are several people there who are members of the MRF and others who entered the lists - this widened the fan and the vote in this way increased. On the other hand, we also have Peevski's national campaign, which he is also leading from a purely PR point of view - he is selling a future and a present that seems calm", said political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva.
"Peevski is really selling security to his clientele", answered Andreeva Nikolov.
According to Sevlievski, the real winner is Rumen Dimitrov, one of the people who were more closely associated with "Novoto Vreme", with GERB, with Todor Popov. In general, he and the "Svoboda" party have scored 3,300 votes and are in 3rd place after PP. Sevlievski shows where GERB's votes are going. He claims that GERB's votes did not go to Peevski, as claimed by "We Continue the Change".
"These politicians who know how to build majorities, who know how to join majorities - this is the lesson from Pazardzhik. This will most likely be projected at the national level. Bulgaria and our municipalities will be governed by coalitions," believes Tsvetanka Andreeva.
The leader of the "New Beginning" list is a former GERB MP. Her husband was a deputy of the 43rd National Assembly, from the party of Hristo Kovachki, later a representative of the structures of "Bulgaria without censorship".
According to the journalist Nikolov, they guaranteed her security.
"When she was a candidate for deputy of GERB, she won 4,000 preferential votes. This is typical of the cacophony in Bulgarian politics," believes former minister Miroslav Sevlievski.
