To date, 34,747 residents have disrupted water supply, according to the summary report from the water supply operators in the composition of „Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Holding" EAD for the period 06.10-13.10.2025.
This is a decrease of 114,391 people from the previous seven-day period. The affected population is 0.7% of the total population served by the 26 water supply companies in the composition of „Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Holding" EAD.
Weekly reports show that in the second week of October 2024, 232,354 people or 5.17% had disrupted water supply.
Currently, there are three cities in the regime: Breznik, Radomir and Omurtag. The villages in the regime are decreasing from 260 to 88. The municipalities with affected population are now half as many - 36 (72 at the beginning of last week).
The Water and Sewerage Operators within “Bulgarian Water and Sewerage Holding" EAD continue to work on the identified goals jointly with “Bulgarian Water and Sewerage Holding" EAD measures to reduce losses, replace the water supply network, zoning, control pressure, explore new water sources, uncover illegal connections and unregulated water use.
The main goal of “Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Holding" EAD is to guarantee quality water supply and sewerage services in the conditions of global climate change while ensuring an acceptable price for the public services provided by the water supply and sewerage operators.
