Sofia Municipality is trying to restore normal cleaning in the Krasno Selo and Lyulin districts

Today and tomorrow, the Sofia Municipality will try to restore normal cleaning in the "Krasno Selo" and "Lyulin" districts, BNR reported.

For two weeks, the neighborhoods in these areas are being cleaned on a crisis basis, with the help of equipment from neighboring municipalities and volunteers. The reason is the expiration of the cleaning contract and the refusal of Mayor Vasil Terziev to conclude a new one with the only candidate for the public procurement.

Restoring normal service in the two metropolitan areas means regular waste collection from the neighborhoods and working on a predetermined route and frequency set out in the operational plans.

This will happen with the municipality's resources - equipment and teams from municipal enterprises and other regions of Sofia, as well as with temporarily hired capacity from neighboring municipalities and the labor of volunteers.

The purpose of the testing is to create conditions for the cancellation of the crisis situation, the Sofia Municipality explained.

Today and tomorrow there will again be an organization for people who want to help collect the garbage - in three places in "Lyulin", "Hipodruma" and "Krasno Selo" bags and gloves will be distributed.
