Rumen Radev: The big task before the government is to avoid a fuel crisis and not raise prices - 1

„It is no coincidence that I said that the state is not a game of carts. After they failed to block the activities of the presidential institution and I thank my employees for this, now they are offering us Danaan gifts (a traitorous gift, a gift from the enemy-white order.) in order to compromise it“. This is what President Radev said about Boyko Borissov's statement that he will ask the Minister of Finance to transfer all cars and drivers used so far by the head of state and his administration to the Presidency.

„These people cannot wait to trample on their own laws. They are doing it not out of state interest, but out of panic, because people are asking: After the president got out of the armored car, and I very rarely travel in one, why can't they? Why are Peevski and Borisov riding in brand new armored cars that are befitting the prime minister and the speaker of the National Assembly?“, emphasized Radev, quoted by Nova TV.

These people have created a circus. They are not guided by the law, but only by their personal interest. And it leads to lockers, bundles, offshore companies and properties abroad“, the president pointed out.

He also commented on the sanctions imposed by the US against Russian oil giants. “I expect us to take all measures so that there is no fuel crisis in Bulgaria. This is very important. How exactly the sanctions will be expressed remains to be specified. Escalation is possible. Every day that this war continues, there will be an escalation in all other spheres“, Radev stressed.

According to him, the big task before the government is to prevent a fuel crisis and to prevent prices from rising.

The president also commented on overcoming his veto on the changes in the laws on SANS, DATO and DAR.

“Yesterday, the “Magnitsky“ coalition was formalized – Peevski governs, Borisov executes. The exacerbation of this crisis leads to its logical end. This collaboration cannot last. It places Bulgarians, GERB and Borisov at the mercy of the whims of one person. I am convinced that democracy is stronger than arrogance“, Radev concluded.
