"In politics, nothing is owed to anyone", shared in the studio of "This Saturday and Sunday" on bTV Raya Nazaryan from GERB - Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Deputy Speaker of the GERB-SDF Parliamentary Group.
"I was the speaker of a parliament without a majority. Then there is really no one to support you. There are difficulties in every parliament. Politics is a constant process. Especially coalition politics. It consists of defending your internal party interests, but also recognizing the interests and rights of other coalition partners". This is how Raya Nazaryan commented on the possible rotation of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
"After we held talks in our joint management council last week, we came to the decision to introduce a new mechanism that will become part of our coalition agreement, namely - with regard to sharing responsibility in the leadership of the National Assembly - a rotation principle".
She also stated that ITN, MRF-New Beginning are not against the rotation of the Speaker of the National Assembly, they are waiting for the BSP's decision, Nazaryan also announced.
"Today we have to wait for our colleagues from the BSP, they have a meeting, they have more complicated procedures than us, then they will let us know what they have decided. A meeting will be convened to discuss the outcome," she added.
Regarding Borisov's statement of the last few days - "A bunch of psychologists and analysts have been thinking for 10 days about what the poet wanted to say? I am the poet" - Nazaryan commented: "A tension has built up and sooner or later the conversation about reformatting was going to happen anyway. The results of the elections in Pazardzhik were the catalyst for this. But in fact, this catalyst was received quite well by the partners, inside the coalition, because we sat down and saw that in fact we can talk to each other extremely frankly and admit our mistakes, and make decisions together. And how important it is to move forward" and added: "For us, the most important thing was to secure a stable majority."
According to Nazaryan, there are no encapsulated ministries that are given on concession. They encapsulated themselves in the implementation of their programs. Nazaryan did not want to say which ministries these were, only adding that talks had been held and the issue had been resolved.
"Mr. Borisov's emotion was that times are very dynamic and we need a much better bond in this coalition - that was his position", Nazaryan said.
Regarding the influence of the MRF-New Beginning in the government, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly commented: "Even when we started talking about a stable continuation of the majority, we returned the talks to the APS, when it was a supporting party. But there was never any idea that it would be our partner. The political conversation with the MRF-New Beginning was not aimed at becoming the fourth coalition partner, but rather at them taking advantage of their constitutional right, as well as the rules of the National Assembly's regulations, the opportunities it provides, so that they can take part in the governing bodies of the National Assembly"
Giving leadership positions to the MRF-New Beginning in the committees was discussed. "Parliamentary representation in the governing bodies was discussed".
"We appreciate the request of the MRF-New Beginning that they will support and that we will have the guarantee of their support. They have the self-discipline to decide for themselves that they do not want to participate in the governing bodies of the National Assembly, so that they can avoid creating additional tension at this difficult time," Nazaryan also said.
On the topic of cars in the administration of President Rumen Radev, Nazaryan said that he copied the leader of the GERB Party Boyko Borisov, "which means that in some way he is a fan of him." "As a party leader, he wants to get together with the leader of the largest party, so we understand him - the choice is his," Nazaryan added.
