Days before our country's first budgets in euros are submitted to the National Assembly – they have already caused tension. The unions announced that they are preparing a protest over plans for the minimum wage next year to be 605 euros, instead of the previously announced 620.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the draft budget will be submitted to parliament by Friday. Today, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev was laconic on the subject. “In recent years, the budget has been considered at the beginning of next year”, he emphasized, and when asked why 605, and not 620 euros, would be the minimum wage, he replied “Why not 540 or 720?”.
