Borisov has once again shown that he is not driving the train, he is not the strong figure in Bulgarian political life.
This was told to the Bulgarian National Radio by Tsvetan Tsvetanov, leader of the "Republicans for Bulgaria" party, former Minister of Interior in the government of Boyko Borisov and former Deputy Chairman of GERB, adding that in the public space there is talk that "about 20, 20 and a few members of parliament from GERB are entirely under the direct subordination of Delyan Peevski".
According to him, with his angry speech before the GERB party elite, Boyko Borisov made a statement that he wants to be prime minister again "in the remaining time, regardless of how long the cabinet of this majority will last", but after it became clear that this option did not work, he returned "to what others may be dictating to him":
"We see later that what Borisov says is not being implemented. We were all left with the impression that there would be some reformatting of the majority or that some other balances would be sought, but after that he was no longer so engaged in demands for the resignations of ministers, which shows that Borisov is now in such a situation that even the GERB deputies know that the strong man is Delyan Peevski.
Tsvetanov expressed his conviction that the first breakthrough in GERB will occur when the National Assembly votes to "take some extreme measure".
According to Tsvetanov, crisis PR is the photos shown by the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" of Boyko Rashkov and a man who, according to Delyan Peevski, is known as Muharem Mukhat:
"You can't have a photo like that, when a member of parliament goes and is present near a given polling station during elections, people come in and out, greet each other, shake hands. A provocative element can be sought in order to seek precisely this photographic material and effect. From this point of view, this is frivolous. Serious things are when there is enough operational data, when there are talks or preparations for buying or a controlled vote. Then the arguments would be strong enough to circulate this news now. This is another attempt to deviate from the daily problems and the biggest challenge for the parliament - the adoption of the budget, as well as all these problems that are superimposed and we are going from crisis to crisis without having a solution".
Tsvetan Tsvetanov emphasized that the problem is that GERB is already starting to lose serious positions in partial elections, which was seen in Pazardzhik.
"Borisov has led to the fact that GERB, DPS and BSP will be like a formed coalition, which will be the most undesirable in the next elections. And with their actions they are pouring grist to Rumen Radev's mill, because he will be perceived as a victim", he also commented.
The replacement of Natalia Kiselova with Raya Nazaryan as Speaker of Parliament is filling the so-called house book with loyal people, Tsvetanov believes.
He pointed out that the ruling party has no interest in early elections, so that the president's party does not emerge, and therefore they will postpone them at least until a few months after the presidential elections in the fall of 2026, "so that they can proceed with the methods of using the repressive bodies".
According to Tsvetanov, the investment in the defense industry of "Rheinmetall" will be tainted.
