620 euros minimum wage and higher maternity benefits - this is what the partners in power agreed on during an extraordinary meeting of the Joint Management Council. The proposals are to be considered at the Tripartite Council.

„The minimum wage that will be proposed for consideration in the NCTS will be 620 euros, i.e. 1213 leva, which reflects the current legislation in the Labor Code. According to it, the minimum wage should be 50% of the average”, said Denitsa Sacheva.

„Maternity benefits for the second year will be 460 euros or 900 leva, which is almost a 15% increase compared to the current one. It will be proposed that women who return to work during the second year of maternity leave receive 75% of the compensation, instead of 50%, as is currently the case,”, Sacheva also said.

980 million euros have been allocated for the municipalities for a capital and investment program.
