"I assume that a new National Council for Tripartite Cooperation will be scheduled next week, at which all parameters will probably be discussed", the deputy chairwoman of the GERB-SDF parliamentary group Denitsa Sacheva told journalists regarding the budget for next year.
The employers understand the situation we are in, and I believe they will show the necessary cooperation, given the fact that we are facing a very complex situation in which the budget can only be possible, she said.
In this budget, we are actually implementing the laws as they have been adopted over the past four years regarding remuneration, which is one of the main points of dispute and discussion at the moment, Sacheva added.
When asked whether they are ready to reconsider the increase in the social security contribution and the "dividend" tax, Sacheva replied that there is no way they can reconsider this, given that they need all this revenue. She pointed out that they are implementing the law as it is, from the point of view of the minimum wage, which is related to a number of social payments.
If there are more reasonable proposals on how to raise revenue, we are ready to discuss them, but so far we have not heard any of them, except for criticism of the budget, Sacheva added.
A meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation has been scheduled for November 13, the Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber (BIC) Stanislav Popdonchev announced on Friday in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio.
Employers' organizations refused to enter the last meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation and declared themselves against the parameters in the draft state budget.
