In front of journalists on the sidelines of the parliament, the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov said that the party had not received clear information from the ruling party regarding actions aimed at excluding Bulgaria from the American sanctions against "Lukoil", a reporter for Novini.bg reported.
The only thing that was said was that after October 23, when the sanctions were announced, they immediately sought contact. When immediately, on what date – we did not understand, what kind of contact exactly, with which institution exactly, what exactly they requested – we didn't understand. The Hungarian Prime Minister went with a whole planeload of delegation to the US, asked for and received an exception for everything, Kostadinov said.
The best solution for the Bulgarian state is to say that it will not comply with the sanctions, just as it does not comply with the sanctions regarding Delyan Peevski. Obviously, it is not a problem for a person sanctioned by the US for corruption to govern the state, so we should not have a problem with the sanctions against "Neftochim" in Burgas. The other option is to request an exception. Neither one nor the other has been done. There is a third option - to request talks with the Russian side. This thing, even if it wanted to, the government cannot do it - first, because it does not have that much courage and courage, second - because it is not an independent entity, it is a vassal, third - because even his overlord in Washington is not interested in him at the moment, he has not sent him a message, he does not receive direct instructions and this makes him behave like a headless fly, the leader of "Vazrazhdane" pointed out.
In this situation, the state should seek contact with the Russian side, but it will not do such a thing. That is why we sought contact and tomorrow our delegation is leaving for Russia. We will present the point of view of the majority of the Bulgarian people, announced Kostadin Kostadinov.
The big question is to what extent the Russian side will prefer to listen to us. The Russian side came out with a declaration that it has enemy governments, but no enemy peoples. This is a very clear distinction. Regardless of the final results of the talks, we must try all options. Our delegation will participate in a forum for cooperation between BRICS and the European Union in the crisis situation in which the European continent is currently located. The forum will be at the highest level - representatives of the ruling parties and the ruling administrations in Russia, India, Brazil, China, South Africa, as well as representatives of ruling and opposition parties from Luxembourg, Germany, Slovakia, Serbia and other European countries will participate. Together with us there will be the descendants of Bismarck and De Gaulle, who are representatives of some of the most influential foundations in the real civil sector, whose goal is to prevent the escalation of a conflict that would destroy the European continent for the third time in a row within 100 years. We will do everything in our power to show the point of view of the Bulgarian national interest, Kostadinov also said.
