According to Meglena Plugchieva, former Deputy Prime Minister and diplomat, business is right to block the Tripartite and does not approve Budget 2026.
"It was arrogantly stated that even with the objections of business, this budget will be adopted, which I do not recommend in any way. Broken relations with business do not bode well. Arrogance comes before the fall", she pointed out in an interview with BNT.
"In some ministries, normal salaries cannot be taken, in others they are inflated to thousands of leva. These imbalances could have been corrected. In addition to reducing bureaucracy, we can also talk about digitalization. We are lagging behind. When there is no digitalization, a sufficiently well-developed infrastructure, be it road, water, etc., this does not help the business to work. New investors do not come in. We suffer from a lack of personnel. From a serious demographic problem", she recalled.
And she warned: "If we only slide along the easy plane of "we should only provide social benefits" and with loans, this will not get us far. The expenditure part is in violation of the law. There are still a bunch of questions about the economy, for example, whether they have sought new markets for our working business since the European and German economies, with which I am tied like connected vessels, are in recession", Plugchieva asks.
