Boyko Borisov: I hid Tsvetan Vassilev like a scoundrel - 1

GERB leader Boyko Borisov said that former banker Tsvetan Vassilev used to come to his house and he hid him from Delyan Peevski.

"He enters through the garage, hides upstairs in the attics, because Peevski was chasing him then. I hid him like a scoundrel", said Boyko Borisov.

Vassilev and Peevski were partners at Corpbank. In the summer of 2014, the bank went bankrupt, and shortly before that it became clear that the relationship between the two had deteriorated.

Vassilev himself claimed at the time that Peevski had threatened him, including with text messages like this:

"I'm giving you one last chance. I know where you are. Don't make me do anything stupid. I'll find you".

About a year after the bankruptcy of CorpBank, information emerged that Vassilev had met with Borisov at the time when CorpBank was bankrupt. According to him, the initiative came from the owner of CorpBank, who insisted on a conversation for months.

Borisov said that Tsvetan Vassilev had been calling him on the phone for months and insisting on a meeting. Finally, he invited him to Bankya, but warned him that his house was under surveillance.

"Please, please, please let me see you, please, please, please let me see you." I told him: I don't see a topic for conversation, because your bashibazouks, Barekov's hordes are in front of my house every morning. There was no TV where I could go without being surrounded by your money.

"No, please let's meet." I shout - come in. And he drove the car into the garage," Borisov said then.

Vassilev himself then said that he had met with the leaders of the three main political forces and warned them that an attack was being prepared against Corpbank and that the consequences would be catastrophic for the state. Regarding the meeting with Borisov, he specified that he had reached him in a criminal way.

"What is criminal, Mr. Vassilev? Did I force you into my home? What kind of interests are there for everyone to come to Bankya and when they come to Bankya... it's like the Pope has already been scolded...", Borisov replied publicly at the time.

He did not give details of the conversation, but at that moment he denied that Delyan Peevski was mentioned. According to him, the banker came to apologize for the protests in front of his house and the only thing they discussed was the attack on GERB.
