In the difficult and different year ahead, with the first budget in euros, the state chose to be an opponent of business, instead of its ally. It refused to listen to your words that the euro is a tool for economic development, not a goal. It refused to hear the voice of Bulgarian business and there is still a lack of meaningful conversation about where business wants to invest, how to continue what has been achieved, what guarantees and conditions the state should provide them, what kind of economy Bulgaria should develop. This was said by Vice President Iliana Yotova to the representatives of Bulgarian business during the ceremony for the awarding of the “Mr. and Mrs. Economy“ awards, which were held for the 35th time, the press center of the presidency reports. The competition is organized by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria and the magazine “Economy“.
Yotova emphasized that she is against the opposition of private business and those working in the administration. “Bulgarian business needs a very well-prepared administration. I do not think that people who work in the state administration would easily pay a tax to any politician to use them in this opposition to the old Roman principle “Divide and rule“. They would not allow the next saviors to be born on their backs“, emphasized Iliyana Yotova.
She congratulated the business representatives for continuing to invest not only in themselves, but also in people, ideas, results. “You are people who work for Bulgaria and we must protect you“, she pointed out.
