Rumen Petkov: Occupying the parliament on a day off is like taking over the bathhouse in Pleven, which has been closed for 40 years - 1

Rumen Petkov, leader of ABV, commented on a number of issues related to energy, international politics and the budget policy of Bulgaria in "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov“. He gave a critical analysis of the situation in Ukraine, the sanctions against Russia and the role of the special manager of Bulgarian companies.

Petkov touched on the topic of the peace plan for Ukraine and the actions of European leaders:

„The solution is an immediate cessation of military actions and a stop to death. Von der Leyen is behaving like an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of death. Don't we see this? We are constantly licking money, constantly pouring weapons. If the Minsk agreements had come into force, this issue would have been forgotten long ago“, commented Rumen Petkov.

In his words, European advice to Zelensky not to accept peace plans leads to the continuation of the war:

“ Well, they advised him once and he destroyed the Minsk agreements that were agreed upon. An understanding was reached in Istanbul. And these same people or their predecessors advised him to continue the war. And the war and death continue.“

Petkov emphasized that the issue of the security of fuel supplies and the protection of Bulgarian interests is central to the state. Petkov emphasized the importance of the role of the special manager of "Lukoil Bulgaria":

"I hope that this special manager of ours in Burgas will not allow steps and actions that would question our Bulgarian interest there", explained Rumen Petkov.

He also commented on the words of the energy minister that there is no crisis and that there is gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel.

" The crisis has been overcome, after we have raised prices by 10-15 stotinki - Bai Pesho is probably not that enthusiastic about this. This special manager must guarantee oil supplies."

According to him, our country has the cheapest and highest quality fuel.

Regarding the protests, Petkov expressed skepticism and made an ironic comment about the planned occupations:

„Excuse me? We will occupy something that is not working on Tuesday. This is an interesting idea. This is like occupying the city bathhouse in Pleven, which closed 40 years ago... Why didn't we occupy it on Sunday? It is also an option. Um, we have a day off, most people will go for a walk," commented Petkov.

He also commented on the budget and social policies and highlighted the achievements of "BSP - United Left" in the budget:

„I want to highlight that in this budget, we as "BSP - United Left" achieved several things. But this act with motherhood, the second year of motherhood, the opportunity for the mother, when she returns to work, to receive greater funds, this is a serious step. It will not solve the issue, but it is a serious step. Raising the minimum wage, raising the average wage. There's no way everyone can be happy with one budget.“
