A draft decision to dismiss the Chairperson of the State Agency for Road Safety (Malina Krumova) and to appoint a temporary acting head is to be discussed by the Council of Ministers at its regular meeting at 10:00, the press service of the Cabinet announced, quoted by BTA.
On the agenda is a draft decision on a proposal to the President of Bulgaria to issue a Decree to award a military serviceman with a senior officer rank. Another draft decision to the President proposes issuing a Decree to dismiss an officer from office and military service from the senior command staff.
A National Plan for Investment in the European Defense Industry under the European Union instrument "Safeguards for the Security of Europe (SAFE) by Strengthening the European Defense Industry" and submitting a request for financial assistance to the European Commission are also to be discussed by the cabinet ministers.
They will also consider granting an additional transfer to the state social security budget for 2025, as well as amending the National Polar Research Program "From Pole to Pole" 2022 - 2025
A decree approving additional transfers to the budgets of municipalities for 2025 to compensate for the expenses incurred by parents for the period from July 1 to September 14, 2025 for the upbringing and education of children who are not accepted into state or municipal kindergartens or schools due to lack of free places is also on the cabinet agenda.
The Council of Ministers is expected to approve changes to the Credit Institutions Act, the Water Act, as well as the Labor Code.
