Ivaylo Mirchev, MP from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria", commented to Nova TV that Interior Minister Daniel Mitov must resign immediately.
The reason is the inadequate reaction of the police during the protest, said Mirchev. According to him, the perimeter was not secured in any way, when there were smaller protests, there were more police officers guarding the entire road. Mirchev pointed out that there was also no electricity on a large part of the road. I should have called Minister Mitov to urge him to send the police, I should have called Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Borisov, he pointed out.
The most normal thing the police should do is to have an adequate reaction, said Ivaylo Mirchev. The actions of the police were not adequate, we hold the Minister of the Interior responsible, he pointed out. We organized a peaceful protest and we thank these Bulgarians who came with their children, Mirchev noted.
