Eight ambulances have been sent to the scene and three more are on standby. There are several victims who have been taken to hospitals with various injuries and bruises.
This was announced on BTV by the spokesperson for the Emergency Medical Care Center in Sofia, Katya Sungarska, in connection with the protests tonight.
The emergency teams are working, examining on site, said Sungarska. She noted that many of the people who did not feel well do not stay at the place where the emergency teams were called, and this valuable resource is being wasted.
At this stage, the number of victims is not as high as the rather severe pictures that are seen on television, the spokesperson for the Emergency Care Center pointed out. According to her, the situation is dynamic, so she cannot commit to an exact number of victims. Sungarska emphasized that there is no data on seriously injured people.
