The civil association "BOEC" and dozens of citizens organized a new protest - this time demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Daniel Mitov after the provocations and attempts to orchestrate an escalation of tension during the multi-thousand-strong protest on December 1 against the ruling majority.
The civil association also calls for the protests to continue until the goals are achieved - resignation of the entire government, Delyan Peevski and removal of Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, news.bg listed.
Cries of "Resignation, trial and prison" were heard during the protest, due to which there is a reinforced police presence. "Janissi", "Militiamen", the protesters also shouted at the Ministry of Interior. Participants in the protest in front of the Ministry of Interior threw toilet paper, pennies and eggs at the ministry building.
The chairman of the civil association BOETS Georgi Georgiev said that Daniel Mitov should go immediately and resign. "After the resignation of the government, new elections will follow and if someone allows elections to be held with his Ministry of Interior, headed by Dani Mitov, let him think about it", Georgiev was categorical.
He also insisted on the resignations of heads of police departments and detention centers. "This gentle young man cannot control the bearded faces in the Ministry of Interior. Dani Mitov is an example of conservative boys, but they are always attracted to something else", added BOETS. They threatened that when a new government of Delyan Peevski comes, the younger ones will protest.
Georgiyev insisted on the creation of a national protest headquarters.
Georgi Georgiev pointed out that today is Daniel Mitov's birthday and threatened that BOEC had prepared a "surprise" for him.
