A family of four was evacuated from a house in the village of Izvor, after the Izvorska River overflowed and broke its dam, the press center of the Burgas Municipality announced. They added that there is no danger to the other homes in the village.
Access to the settlement is not limited by the turnoff on the main road Burgas - Malko Tarnovo.
At the request of the Mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, the BG-Alert early warning system was activated. The reason for this was increased levels of the Fakiyska and Izvorska rivers. At this time, only the road from the village of Izvor to the villages of Gabar, Zidarovo and Varshilo is closed.
