Social networks are overheated by signals from parents who have received invitations for "emergency" parent meetings tomorrow evening (Wednesday, December 10). This is what the MP from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Manol Peykov has raised the alarm, dariknews.bg writes. According to him, this is an organized campaign, the aim of which is to prevent people from joining the national protest planned for the same hour.
"No one has issued an order for extraordinary parent-teacher meetings and all suggestions with similar statements are a blatant lie", stated the Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev.
"There are nearly 40,000 classes in the system and an average of 160 school days per year. For each class, 3-4 parent-teacher meetings are held per year. That is, if we divide it by the number of school days, there are an average of 875 parent-teacher meetings per day. They are held according to plan and are traditionally the most at the beginning of the school year and in December. And it has been like this for years. Ask the principals and teachers! But you clearly don't want to. The important thing is that the manipulation continues," replied the Minister of Education.
"I understand that the most important thing for you is to propagate in any way. But stop doing politics on the back of the education system," Valchev categorically stated.
