Korman Ismailov: Peevski is trying to copy Dogan's methods, but it doesn't work the same way. People are different

"We have no doubt that in the next elections Peevski and MRF-NN will receive enough mandates to be in the National Assembly. He can't fall. PP-DB pulled Peevski out of mothballs because they saw him as small and could help them get a constitutional majority," political scientist Tatyana Burudzhieva also commented

Korman Ismailov: Peevski is trying to copy Dogan's methods, but it doesn't work the same way. People are different - 1

The protest in support of the “Zhelyazkov“ cabinet showed that MRF has voters and people who want Peevski – something we all know, seeing the election results. He said this in the studio of “This Morning“ on bTV political scientist and former MP from the Bulgarian Socialist Party Tatyana Burudzhieva.

According to her, this demonstration does not change the situation and does not say anything new.

„A wonderful day for Bulgarian democracy, the squares are full. Trials are underway. On December 1, I saw a protest by free people. A protest motivated by living in truth. While the other protest, organized by the DPS-NN, was based on a lie and a substitution - there is no hatred, there is intolerance“, commented former MP from the DPS Korman Ismailov.

According to him, the protest in support of the government was weak in organization and scale. He added that this demonstration was in no way reflected or supported by Turkey. „If there was any hatred and provoked ethnic tension, there would have been serious reactions from there. We didn't see that," he added.

Burudzhieva commented that the leader of the DPS-NN did not go to any city where there was a demonstration, so as not to be misinterpreted.

„Like Dogan, he can only thrive in his own environment – like a tumor in an organism. Doctors do not hate a tumor, they examine it and fight it. Peevski, in the eyes of the majority of Bulgarian voters, has become a political tumor that feeds on the democracy we have and presents itself as something it is not. He is trying to copy Dogan's methods, but he cannot do it in the same way, because people are different“, Ismailov pointed out.

The political scientist commented that the choice between Dogan and Peevski – is not a choice, because behind both names lies the same thing. Burudzhieva also said that people are massively demanding an immediate resignation, which is technologically impossible.

„The question is why we are discussing Peevski and not discussing Borisov. Borisov is the one who sent Peevski to make him a convenient partner for himself. Peevski was absolutely toxic and unacceptable to all parties in this National Assembly. Borisov is tricking himself because he will pay the heavy price, as a mandate holder“, the former MP from the MRF also said.

Burudzhieva agreed that Boyko Borisov will pay the “price“ for his partnership with Peevski.

„We have no doubt that in the next elections Peevski and the MRF-NN will receive enough mandates to be in the National Assembly. He cannot fall. PP-DB pulled Peevski out of the mothballs because they saw him as small and could help them get a constitutional majority. They felt in control of the situation. PP-DB paid the price, but not enough, because I don't see any awareness in their leaders, at least to say "we made a mistake" while they pretend that this thing didn't exist, Burudzhieva added.

When asked who Mehmed Ataman was, Korman Ismailov replied: "A local Peevski's stooge in Haskovo. With one foot in business, one foot in the party hierarchy, one foot in the state. This is called the mafia. He controls the electorate because he has a lot of workers who are dependent on him. This is feudalism."

Ataman describes himself as an "ordinary civil servant." His tax return was also shown on the air, in which he declared nearly 800 properties.
