ERM West is implementing a key project in 2025 to increase the reliability of electricity supply in the village of Slokoshtitsa, in which the company invested nearly 600,000 leva.
The project has been successfully implemented in cooperation with the leadership of the Kyustendil municipality. It will significantly increase the security of power supply for the residents of the village and the Osogovo Mountains region.
As part of the investment, new electric poles have been installed, overhead wires with a length of over 3,500 m have been replaced, and new network management and protection equipment has been installed. Additionally, a new underground cable with a length of over 1200 m has been laid, which provides a direct connection of the transformer stations in the village with the electricity distribution network of the city of Kyustendil.
After the implementation of the project, all transformer stations in the village of Slokoshtitsa are now powered via a more reliable route from Kyustendil, and the previous lines, passing through difficult-to-reach mountainous terrain, remain as a backup power supply. This significantly reduces the risk of interruptions in the event of snowfall, fallen trees and other adverse conditions in the Osogovo Mountains.
