The Sofia City Court is considering two appeal measures against five of those detained during the protest on December 1. According to the prosecutor's office, there is a real danger of committing a new crime, the charges brought are at an early stage, and the allegations against them are highly probable, "Nova TV" reported.

During the protest in Sofia on December 1, 71 people were arrested, including the son of businessman Atanas Bobokov – Bozhidar, who was later released on bail. Another man who committed acts of vandalism was detained with 31 thousand leva, divided into bills with the names of streets on them.

Five people remained in custody permanently, and investigative actions are being conducted against others. According to the court, sufficient evidence has been collected that Kristiyan Yonchev, Lachezar Tuleshkov, Martin Ivanov, Julien Zhelyazkov and Nikolay Aleksiev threw bombs, glass bottles and other objects at police officers. They have previous criminal records, and some have pending cases.

The defense of four of the detainees stated that there is not enough evidence that they are the authors of the vandalism, and the fact that two of them have previous convictions does not mean that they are willing to go to custody again.
