We have nothing to hide from. This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Stanislav Balabanov - Deputy Chairman of "There is such a people". He recalled the time before the current government was formed in resignation, the spiral of elections and the people's desire to have a working cabinet. Our decision was not easy, Balabanov noted, but he emphasized that at that moment they were looking for stability. "This government was shaken daily, but this government achieved significant things", he emphasized and listed what was done, highlighting the upcoming official entry of our country into the eurozone.
In his words, the protesters deserve only respect: "This is the meaning of democracy - if you disagree with something, you go out, stand up for it, fight". However, all together we come to the main question - and from here on where, pointed out the MP from the ITN.
"After Asen Vassilev ordered the financial scandal in the state, it is logical that he should bear responsibility for this scandal", he believes and added: "The financial policy in the state was determined by one person in the last 4 years, so that we would reach a situation in which we were currently wondering how to fix his scandals, in order to offer the maximum possible budget - so that the state could continue to function at all. However, since there was such civic energy, headed in the square by this same failed finance minister, from now on in a pre-election situation, unfortunately, there will be no regular state budget, there will be no money for young doctors, there will be no increase in the minimum wage - none of what the Tripartite requested and agreed upon in the last talks, related to the budget, will happen. All representatives of unions, organizations, and businesses will have to are looking for answers from Asen Vassilev and the ideology that they are currently trying to impose".
Stanislav Balabanov emphasized that administratively the budget can still be voted on now, but according to him this is dangerous: "Once it is known that elections are coming, each party starts bidding between the two readings of the budget. In general - instead of raising eyebrows, we are gouging out the eyes of Bulgarian citizens in this way, because extreme populists like Vassilev are starting to come to the podium, starting to bid on proposals for increasing pensions and salaries, even though they know that this cannot be achieved. This will be obscurantist for the Bulgarian state. Therefore - and the law allows it - the state in such a crisis should enter with an extended budget plan, to start the first months, until the elections, with a budget with the same parameters as the previous year. In this way, we will stop the destruction in this country".
In his words, the responsibility for all this, those who throw the country into chaos should be sought. One of the fathers of chaos from now on is called Assen Vassilev, the others are more marginal - Kostadin Kostadinov, Radostin Vassilev and Ivelin Mihaylov, Balabanov noted.
For him, the logical way out of the situation is new elections, in which people can give their trust to whichever party they choose. He reminded that the ITN introduced machine voting years ago, and also wants to have electronic voting in the country one day. There are enough proposals from the ITN regarding the Electoral Code, the MP pointed out and talked about some of them.
Stanislav Balabanov defined the behavior of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" as "political hypocrisy": "They are actually the people who solidified Peevski's personality and gave the opportunity to a party like the MRF to have the opportunity to support bills in the hall and to govern openly with them one year in government. The real participation of "New Beginning" in the executive and legislative branches was during the time of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria".
Mistakes were also made, Balabanov also admitted.
