The power supply to the tanker "Kairos", which was damaged in an attack by Ukrainian drones and abandoned for more than a week near Ahtopol, has been restored, BNT reported. The actions are part of the complex operation to tow the vessel.
Earlier, a 5-ton marine generator with a capacity of 150 kW arrived in the area and, with the help of the largest fishing vessel in our country - RK-37, was transported to the tanker. The boat was loaded with the necessary power equipment and mooring ropes.
A technical team of 16 people boarded the "Kairos" and managed to restore the power supply to the hydraulic system, as well as the operation of the left anchor.
The Executive Administration "Maritime Administration" is controlling and coordinating the entire operation.
After the successful completion of today's operation, three tugboats are expected to arrive early tomorrow morning near Ahtopol to tow the tanker to the Burgas Bay.
