The first eight Bulgarian F-16 Block 70 fighters will be presented at the Third Air Base in Graf Ignatievo at an official ceremony, in which the Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov and the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov will participate.
On Tuesday evening, the last two aircraft under the first contract with “Lockheed Martin“ from 2019 arrived in our country. The Air Force will have one F-16 Block 70 squadron, after eight more aircraft are delivered under the second contract with the company. This is expected to happen by the end of 2027.
Among those attending the ceremony today at Graf Ignatievo Air Base will be representatives of state and local authorities, the leadership of national and allied institutions, and the manufacturing company.
