Nearly 700 inspections have been carried out for unjustified price increases, in 10 percent of cases violations have been established, said in Blagoevgrad the executive director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), Hristo Markov.
The inspections are under Art. 15, para. 4 of the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria. 69 punitive orders have been issued, documents are being collected for another 300 inspections, Markov said.
Today in Blagoevgrad, agency employees are carrying out joint inspections with teams from the Consumer Protection Commission, monitoring for unjustified price increases and the correct display of prices in leva and euros.
In front of journalists, Markov pointed out that the violations identified so far are 10 percent of the total number of inspections, which, in his words, means that traders comply with the regulations.
