Assoc. Prof. Ivo Indjov: The right moment for the president's resignation has not been chosen

"With certainty, based on previous surveys, assumptions, and public sentiment, it can be predicted that Radev will fight for first or second place in these upcoming elections, reducing the PP-DB's chances of a significantly better performance than they had before it became clear that he was entering the game," commented the political scientist

Assoc. Prof. Ivo Indjov: The right moment for the president's resignation has not been chosen - 1

"If Rumen Radev had jumped in the fall, he would have had a few months left until the end of his term. Then, a subsequent National Assembly would most likely have failed, failing to issue a governing program, a governing majority, and Radev would have taken all the laurels and, most importantly, would not have been so vulnerable to criticism that he abdicated his constitutional and moral obligations as head of state". This was commented to the Bulgarian National Radio by political scientist Assoc. Prof. Ivo Indjov:

"I believe that the right moment has not been chosen for the president's resignation, but on the other hand, if we analyze the advertising that all opponents, supporters, analysts have made of Radev, commenting very intensively for at least half a year on his upcoming appearance on the political scene, he will most likely take advantage of this advertising, there is no bad advertising. In any case, he is already on the scene".

"With certainty, based on previous surveys, assumptions, and public sentiment, it can be predicted that Radev will fight for first or second place in these upcoming elections, reducing the chances of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" for a significantly better performance than they had before it became clear that he was entering the game", the political scientist emphasized in an interview for the program "Before Everyone" on the program "Horizont":

"The big loser in this case is GERB and Peevski's "New Beginning" DPS".

Radev does not reject the eurozone, but he wanted to use the referendum as a means of gaining popularity to say that the voice of the people must be heard, Indjov also pointed out.
