MPs from the parliamentary health committee will discuss first reading changes to the Health Act. One of the bills provides for stricter rules for the sale and use of nitrous oxide.
The changes include: limiting access to nitrous oxide, especially for minors. Higher administrative penalties for violations, as well as temporary or permanent suspension of the activities of sites that trade in nitrous oxide, systematically violating the legislation.
Another change in the legislation provides for the creation of a control mechanism for recognizing false TELK decisions.
