Kostadinov: The ruling party has shown an inability to impose decisions, there are signs of disintegration in the BSP an - 1

The leader of “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov warned that a new attempt to vote on changes in the voting system could lead to serious excesses in parliament.

In the program “Speak Now“ he said that the ruling majority has shown an inability to impose its decisions, and what happened, according to him, is a sign of disintegration in the BSP and ITN. Kostadinov again called for the National Assembly to be suspended as soon as possible and accused the presidential institution of unjustifiably protracting the early election procedure.

“The scanning devices will miss, because we stopped voting for two consecutive days and from now on, the conclusion should be drawn in the ruling majority, to the extent that it exists. If they decide to make a third attempt, this could cause very serious excesses within the parliament itself, because decisions on changes in the voting method cannot be voted on in such a brazen manner at three-thirty in the middle of the night“, commented Kostadin Kostadinov in “Speak Now”.

According to him, the lack of a quorum and the disintegration of parliamentary groups indicate a deep institutional crisis. According to Kostadinov, what happened has shown that the BSP and the ITN are in disarray.

He once again stated that the sooner this National Assembly stops working, the better. According to him, he expected the next vote to be scheduled between March 22 and 29 at the latest, but it is clear that this will not happen.

„In principle, if former President Radev had wanted to have quick elections, he could have done this entire procedure with the consultations, the distribution of mandates and the appointment of a caretaker cabinet. In the best case, this could have happened at the end of last year - there was technical time for this. However, we see that it is dragging on, which for me is absolutely unacceptable.“

On the topic of Bulgaria's inclusion in the „Peace Council“ at the initiative of Donald Trump, the leader of „Vazrazhdane“ stated that the decision was made in a non-transparent manner and without public debate.

„The Council of Ministers in resignation does not have the moral right to make such a decision... And this National Assembly has even less of the moral right.“

Kostadinov expressed doubt that the Prime Minister is familiar with the commitments he has made.

Kostadin Kostadinov also briefly commented on the case of the „Kronoshpan“ factory in Veliko Tarnovo, stating that „the old capital has been gassed for years“ and stressed that „either investors comply with Bulgarian laws or they should not work in Bulgaria“.
