In more and more areas in the southwestern half of the country, the rain will turn into snow and a new snow cover will form.
In the Upper Thracian Lowland and Eastern Bulgaria, the precipitation will be rain. The wind will be moderate and strong almost everywhere, at the latest along the Black Sea coast, from the northwest. Maximum temperatures will be between 3° and 11°, in Sofia – around 4°. In the evening, the precipitation from the west will weaken, and in places it will temporarily stop.
In the mountains a strong and stormy wind will continue to blow from the south-southwest. There will be precipitation, with the boundary between snow and rain dropping to around 1200 meters. Significant amounts will be in the Western Stara Planina and the massifs in Southwestern Bulgaria, and there will be conditions for blizzards and drifts in the passes there.
On Wednesday night, the wind will weaken, cloudiness will decrease and minimum temperatures will drop significantly. Before noon, there will be sunny hours, but after noon, a rapid increase in cloudiness will begin, first over Western Bulgaria and on Thursday night, it will rain again, above 1000 meters - snow. On Thursday and Friday, there will be almost widespread precipitation of rain and snow. On Saturday, it will rain mainly in Southern Bulgaria. A new cold snap will begin.
