At an average price of 179.50 euros (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, electricity was traded today on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (BIEEX) in the "Day Ahead" market segment. This is shown by data after the exchange closed, BTA reports.

The transactions are based on tomorrow's delivery day - January 27.

The energy exchange closed yesterday at an average price of 147.43 euros per megawatt-hour. This means that electricity for Bulgarian businesses will be 21.75% more expensive tomorrow than today, news.bg pointed out.

The average price of peak energy (09:00-20:00) for tomorrow is 210.08 euros per megawatt-hour, while off-peak energy (01:00-08:00; 21:00-24:00) was traded at an average of 148.92 euros per megawatt-hour.

Data from the Bulgarian Stock Exchange of Bulgaria (IBEX) indicate that a total of 107,207.43 megawatt-hours of electricity were sold.

In the market segment "Within the day" The IBEX weighted average price for 60-minute products is currently 139.76 euros (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour.
