And not only because this is how the positions I have to meet are formally arranged, but accept this as a gesture and an expression of my great respect for the National Assembly as an institution in a parliamentary republic,“ the President stated.
„What do I expect from them? I expect a thorough conversation. And although everyone can share their positions in front of the media, I also want to hear from them the arguments with which they refuse. Moreover, some of them actually voted for these amendments to the Constitution and I would like to know why they are reconsidering what they themselves supported and proposed. In any case, I hope for a very responsible conversation, because the goal of the caretaker cabinet is, above all, to hold normal and fair elections according to the rules, so that we can at least partially restore people's trust in the electoral process,“ she also emphasized.
“I will assess this, because I first want to see what the schedule will be this week, and then you know that there must also be consultations with the parliamentary groups. The dialogue with the parliamentary groups will also depend on the talks about possible nominations. "I will in no way allow this entire process, regardless of whether I agree with these amendments and how I evaluate them, to be formal," Yotova explained.
