Vasil Tonchev: Yotova has two choices for acting prime minister - 1

I believe that Iliyana Yotova will be in the role of a unifier. From now on, she can only successfully develop this position, with the ambitions to extend it. This was stated in an interview with NOVA NEWS by sociologist Vasil Tonchev.

According to him, the most important task facing Yotova is the appointment of an acting prime minister, explaining that there are two choices before her: either Andrey Gyurov, or “all the others“.

“I think Gyurov would be the most logical choice. All the others are part of the status quo. "That's why I believe that if he chooses Gyurov, it would give people some hope that the elections will be fairer," Tonchev explained.

The sociologist did not rule out the option of Yotova running for president and did not rule out that her nomination would be supported by both Rumen Radev's formation and the BSP.

As for the project of the former president, Vasil Tonchev noted that his future party would hardly encounter difficulties in finding sponsors, adding that he expects "powerful business circles" to stand behind his project.

Regarding the internal processes in “Continuing the Change“ Tonchev commented that Asen Vassilev is strengthening his positions in the party, by clearing the structures of those people who were closest to former co-chair Kiril Petkov.

For the BSP, the sociologist said that it is “mandatory” to elect a new leader and enter the elections with new energy and new messages, otherwise Radev's party will very easily overshadow them.

In conclusion, he predicted that after the elections, Bulgaria will return to the natural bipolar model - on one side there will be the parties around Radev's project, and on the other - the parties around GERB.
