A politically prepared garbage crisis threatens Varna. This was reported by the mayor of our seaside capital, Blagomir Kotsev, in a post on Facebook, quoted by Nova TV. According to him, the chairman of the committee on public works and communal activities refuses to convene a meeting at which the budget plan for the cleanliness of Varna would be voted on.
"In this way, Martin Zlatev from the Danish group of “Bulgarian Voice“, associated with Daniel Slavov, leaves the Municipal Council only one chance before the seaside capital sinks into garbage. And this is the municipal councilors voting tomorrow on the extraordinary item that the PP-DB will propose for an urgent and immediate vote on the budget plan," writes Kotsev.
He recalls that by law, municipal councils have until January 31 to adopt their budget plans in accordance with the order established by the Council of Ministers.
"Without a budget plan voted on time, payments cannot be made to the garbage collection company, and accordingly it stops working! It is absolutely unacceptable that 2 days before the deadline, the budget plan for the cleanliness of Varna has not even passed through the relevant committee, which, by the way, was mastered by Daniel Slavov's people last summer. But not having it on the agenda of the Municipal Council for tomorrow's session is already bordering on criminal!
If the cleanliness plan is not voted on extraordinary at the proposal of the PP-DB at tomorrow's session, from Monday Varna will be in a garbage crisis that will overshadow even the one in Sofia," points out the mayor of Varna.
